Ian Christopher
Hooper is a fiction writer and poet who lives in Denver, Colorado. He is member of the artists' collective Zacatecas.org, and has lived and worked in locales as diverse as Wales, South Korea, and Mexico.

Much of his work confronts the tension inherent in the crossing of borders—physical, cultural, and linguistic. His poem ‘Formula on a White and Empty Page’ was a finalist for the 2005 James Hearst Prize, while his fiction and poetry have appeared in the pages of the Mississippi Review, Gargoyle, Exquisite Corpse, North American Review, 3am Magazine, and Web del Sol’s InPosse Review, among others.

Hooper is also a visual artist, creating the layouts and much of the art used on Zacatecas.org. He has taught courses in applied linguistics at the University of Colorado at Denver, and was named ESL Teacher of the Year by the Colorado Association of Bilingual Educators in 2004.

He is currently working on a literary thriller set in Mexico.
