Zacatecas
is currently accepting submissions for our Winter/Spring 2002 edition. We are looking for modern short fiction, as well as poetry and "new media"
works that blur the boundaries between word, sight, and sound.
Our staff
is looking for work with a contemporary feel, a powerful style, and a broad
vision. A stylistic clue: the Dia de los Muertos altar in our office
last year was dedicated to Miyazawa Kenji and Jack Kerouac.
Fiction
or poetry should be sent in the body of an e-mail (attachments will not be
read) after a short cover/ bio. Please send no more than one story or 3-5
poems at a time. For audio or visual works, send a web address where the work
can be viewed or downloaded. Send submissions to the address below:
Zacatecas
acquires first time publication rights in online and CD-ROM format
upon acceptance and confirmation, and the right to maintain the work online
in our archives. After publication, rights revert back to the author.
